Tender Feet Academy caters to 450 pre-primary children divided into Nursery, Junior KG & Senior KG classes, each with 5 sections and 30 children per section. The students come from varied economical, social and religious backgrounds. They learn to appreciate & respect their differences. The curriculum promotes group work and sharing that foster integration and building of strengh in unity. The TFA aim is to ensure that the programme provides students with the adequate skills, knowledge & temperament to effectively relate to people and the world around them. This includes helping children develop self control and respect for themselves, for others and for the environment. |

Uniforms bring every child onto one level (despite the background) and serve to provide a strong sense of identity, loyalty & bonding with the alma mater. Every child must also wear the School photo-ID badge with a child friendly safety pin (with child lock).
Visually, the students can be demarcated into the various years by the uniform they wear. |

Students are required to carry their own school bags – the size should be appropriate for the age-group and comfortable to carry. Water bottles are optional; if sent, they need to be labelled with permanent marker/nail polish. |

• REPORTING /DISPERSAL |
|

The Reporting Time for all 3 classes (Nursery, Junior KG & Senior KG) is latest by 8:20am. Gates will close at 8:30am sharp, when the assembly begins. Students are not permitted to enter the school thereafter nor leave the premises during school hours.
Students may travel to school by the TFA bus facility, vans / autos, personal drop-off & pick-up. TFA has 4 school buses that cover most of the city. The school encourages the use of the bus service for the sheer safety, comfort & timeliness. Each bus has an accompanying conductor and a teacher in the return trip, when children tend to drop off to sleep and can be affected by the fatigue of the day. Bus fees are to be paid separately (see FEES).
The school is not responsible for the safety & monitoring of students travelling vide van/auto/personal arrangements – outside the school premises.
For Dispersal, the gates open at 12:45pm. All children must leave the school premises latest by 1pm. |

• RULES /CODE OF CONDUCT |

TFA believes in a comfortable, flexible and open policy that encourages parents to be an integral part of their child’s learning process. However, in order to ensure a smooth functioning or the system, certain basic rules apply, which have been instituted in the larger interest of children - to ensure the maximum levels of safety, participation & comfort.
• Students must report to school latest by 8:20am and leave school latest by 1:00pm.
• No student is allowed to leave the premises during school hours.
• Students must attend school in the prescribed uniform only (except on their birthday, special celebrations, Fridays-as per the colour code intimated)
• Students must wear their Photo-ID badges with child friendly safety pins during school hours.
• Students must respect other children, property and the environment.
• Students must not use inappropriate language or exhibit inappropriate behaviour.
• Students must carry their School diary every day.
• Students must complete the bridge activity given for home work as & when intimated.
• Students falling within the realm of Reinforcement classes must attend the special classes on Saturdays, as intimated.
• Students suffering from contagious diseases are requested to refrain from attending school, to prevent the spread of illness.
• Leave of absence must be reported to the school preferably in advance (in writing vide the School Diary) or immediately within the day of any exigency – stating the during of leave to be availed.
• Students may celebrate their birthday by offering only sweets / sharing a cake in the class. No gifts, presents are to be sent or distributed.
• Students must take part in all the co-curricular activities – talent time, annual concert, annual sports, festivals & celebrations. |

Also a one-time cost at the time of admission – including books, workbooks, diary, worksheets, stationery & craft material. However, loss of books / stationery items would require to be replaced at cost. |

School Fees: |

An all-inclusive amount towards Teaching-Learning processes, extra & co-curricular activities, lunch facility, field trips, celebrations, festivals, etc.
The school fees are collected on a Quarterly basis in the Months of- July, October, January & April. Fee booklets are provided to all parents (quarterly fee pages in triplicate). The fee MUST be paid by the 15th of each of the above mentioned months, failing which a non-negotiable late fee fine per month will be charged. Non-payment of quarterly fee exceeding 2 months will result in the removal of the child’s name from the school records. |

Additional annual fees: |

The additional fees, to be paid at cost, apply to – Annual Picnic, costume / props for the Annual Concert/Annual Sports Day. |

Bus Fees: |

The Bus fee applicable for the use of TFA bus facility is dependent on the distance of the residence from the school. There are 3 slabs for the bus fee, depending on the distance-in radius:
Upto 5 kms Upto 10 kms
Beyond 10 kms
Non-payment of bus fees exceeding 1 month will result in the removal of the child’s name from the bus facility.
The school office may be contacted for applicable fee amounts for all the above categories. |
