Spelling Bee is an in-house event organized for Senior KG children. The preliminary round was held on Tuesday, 19th January’18. And the final round was held on 23rd January, which was a class wise event and all children took part in this event. The Spelling Bee event is basically organized to empower vocabulary and the spelling skills of the children.
Senior KG children visited KEDI Farm. Children observed different types of vegetables grow differently like cabbage, brinjal, bottle gourd, tomatoes, green chilly.
Math Cracker is an in-house event organized for Senior KG children. This event is planned to give platform to children to explore and push their Mathematical knowledge and understand the significance of Math in our day today life. Children’s problem solving skills are also enhanced and they learn to think differently and out of the box. The event like Math cracker also is an opportunity for children to develop their team spirit.
Celebrations in TFA have become an integral part of joyful learning, community building and thought provoking processes. Religious festivals from across religions, national festivals and festivals related to our environment are celebrated with great enthusiasm, fervour and pride. Children celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi for 5 days and were exposed to the essence of the festivals through stories, music, dance, food, discussions and field trips. Senior KG children visited Baghikhana during Ganesh Chaturthi, wherein they saw a moving decoration of Ramayana, the light effects and idols were eye catching. Children also enjoyed eating the Prasad.
The purpose of the field trip was to help children get the exposure to a variety of sports and their respective sports equipments and understand the importance of sports in our lives. The volunteers gave a few demonstration of how to use sport equipments. The children also felt the texture of the different materials that are used to make sports equipments.
Old buildings teach us about the history and promotes the respect for the bygone era. Architectural monuments cultivate pride of our past and heritage making us unique in the world. Senior KG children went to visit the monuments of Vadodara, like Kirti Mandir, Khanderao Market, The MSU Dome, gate of the Laxmi Vilas Palace. Children observed the construction, name, carving, shape, colour of the monuments.
Learning about water – where it comes from, and how we can conserve it – is an important part of education. Senior KG children went for a field trip to Sindhrot to gain knowledge about sources of water as a part of their POI – on WATER. On their way to Mahi river at Sindhrot children saw tank, canal, hand pump, well, pond and tanks on the houses.
Preschool Fitness and Exercise is something we focus on throughout school. Children need to participate in physical activity every day that is developmentally-appropriate, diverse, and enjoyable. Sr.KG children enjoyed their field trip to Urban Fitness. The trainers explained the importance of exercising, how to keep ourselves fit, use of different equipments and benefits of visiting Gym. Children also enjoyed aerobics and dance at the gym.
Junior KG children visited the fire station to extend their knowledge of fire fighters. They got a hands on-experience on fire safety and watched how fire-fighters use their fire truck in an emergency. The fire fighters showed them the different equipment used by them and demonstrated the use of a fire extinguisher. It was a fun filled, informative experience which the children can use to associate with their immediate environment.
Junior KG children’s field trip was planned to make students aware about the importance of the Janmashtami festival. Children saw PALNA and beautiful artefacts at the temple. Children enjoyed and got into the spiritual mood by listening to bhajans and prayer at the temple.
