The field trip was planned for the ongoing project of community helpers. The objective was to impart knowledge to children for their dental care. The Dental Museum is a true heritage for the city. A museum is developed by a family of doctors where a lot of knowledge was being imparted to children as well as teachers. The trip was enriching and enlightening for each one of us. Children enjoyed the visit and gained information about the equipments. The doctors/dentist explained very well in a child – friendly way. One must visit Dr. Yogesh Chandarana’s Dental Museum.
Visit to zoo gives incredible learning opportunities, sparks curiosity, helps to explore and discover, brings about environmental awareness and is a great educational tool. Nursery Children observed and learned about different animal species, their habitat and behaviour.
Parents and families have the most direct and lasting impact on children’s learning and development of their social skills. The objective was to understand the importance of a joint family and learning sharing, caring, roles and involvement of all the family members. Nursery children went to visit a joint family and met grandparents, parents, paternal uncle and aunt, cousins. They interacted with them and sang songs.
Nursery children visited the Sayaji Garden in the beginning of the academic year. The fieldtrip was planned so that children are learning beyond the classroom in an open space, with nature. Children and teachers had great fun playing structured games, freeplay in the garden and the most fascinated area was the sandpit.
‘Nalanda Expressions 2018’ was held by Nalanda International School on 13th January in which our students participated. They had to dress up as a food product or a beverage. It was an individual event based on theme: Food and Drinks. Each participant had to speak 2 – 3 sentences on the theme given.
Viha Mehta of Sr.KG-C secured 1st Position and was dressed as Fruit Loops.
Prayush Patel of Sr. KG-F secured 3rd Position and was dressed as Sugarcane Juice.
Community Helpers plays a very important role in our life. They help us to make our life easier and hassle free. The school had organized a Community Helpers Mela on 10th January’18 in the school premises itself, to appreciate their work and help children to realize the significance of Community Helpers in our life. The community helpers in the school like gardener, watchman, maid, peon, teachers, plumber etc were involved along with the parents who also took active part in this event. Mukta N. Shah of Sr.KG- D had participated in the 34th IKI National Invitational Karate Championship held on 29th December’17 at Shree Shiv Chatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune, Maharashtra.
She secured First position in the Sub Junior under 8 in individual Kata.
She also secured second position in the Sub Junior under 8 in individual Kumite.
Praher Shastri of Jr.KG – B won in Rubik’s Cube Competition. He was able to solve all three cubes in just 4 minutes. He also won Gold Medal and a Trophy in Kumite and Bronze medal in Kata, held by 13th BARODA DISTRICT INTERDOJO KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP-2017.
TFA celebrated their 28th Annual Sports Day on 20th December, 2017 at the TFA School ground. A series of sports activities ranging from pyramids, yoga display, mass drill, racing events, hurdles, obstacles, tug of war were carried out for Junior KG and Senior KG children with vigour and enthusiasm. Junior KG & Senior KG children practiced for the Annual Sports Day for a month to make sure that they are ready for the final day without lapses. Children showcased their confidence and synchronization of steps through drill display using colourful pom poms & Hulla Hoops. Children also displayed their athletic skills by participating in track races and relay race using colourful and challenging props. The team spirit was displayed by the teams of Junior KG and Senior KG in the Tug of War. Different asanas were displayed by Junior KG children and Senior KG children displayed their strength and balancing ability through pyramid. The Guest of the Honour for the Annual Sports Day was invited from the Parent Fraternity. The guests were Dolly Desai mother of Raavi Desai from Jr.KG-B and Puja Mehta mother of Yug Mehta from Jr.KG-E and Ms. Dolly Mehta mother of Viha Mehta from Sr Kg-B and Dr. Brijesh Panchal father of Swara Panchal from Sr KG-E. The guests did the inauguration of the sports day by releasing the balloons. The welcome band was played and Senior KG children sang the prayer. The Parents Event was another exciting race; the parents took part in large numbers for this event. The award ceremony generated a lot of excitement. The event comes to a close with a vote of thanks, leaving thrilling moments for all the TFAites to cherish.
Children’s Day was celebrated with a lot of excitement and fun-filled activities by both the children and the teachers. This was the day when teachers conducted special assembly and lot of activities for children to make our little children feel special about them. The teachers performed dance, puppet show, showed movies, and played amazing games with them.
