Annual Concert 2016-17

Annual Concert 2016-17

The Annual Programme is the culmination of the students’ year-long learning in the areas of cultural and co-curricular activities, such as drama, vocal music, and dance. Typically the programme may include a concert woven around a well-scripted story featuring the ongoing theme for the year OR it could be a separate script that is modified to suit the age group. Students learn about theatre and music productions by doing and learning, right from the script stage to auditions for roles, to recording at the studio, to drama practice, costumes, lights and cues. The ones gifted in music, singing and dance add special effects and items to the final programme. Our themes for the annual concert were “The Journey of Life”, “Heritage on Wheels”, “Wings of Time” and “Heal the World”.

Christmas is a time for giving, sharing and peace. We celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. Teachers enacted on the story of Birth of Jesus Christ. Children and teachers danced and sang the Christmas Carols. Children enjoyed making art and craft activities of bell, Christmas tree, stockings, stars and reindeer. Santa too made a grand entry during the celebration and filled the air with festivity. Children were dressed up as Santa and in Red and White coloured dress. The photo session with Santa and the Christmas tree was the most exciting part of the celebration.

TFA believes that kinesthetic activities are an integral part of development – right from the pre-primary levels. Apart from enhancing gross motor development, agility, balance & confidence, the programme inculcates in children, the values of group play, waiting for one’s turn, importance of rules, limits of risk-taking & just releasing energy!

From the Junior KG level, they also have formal, organised games- group games, track events, prop games, exercise, drill, etc.

Once a year (in the winter), TFA has the Annual Sports Meet in which Jr. KG & Sr. KG children participate in the drill displays & track events. This is witnessed and cheered by the parents in the true spirit of sportsmanship!
