The 10th Edition of the VadodaraMarathon was flagged off on 8th Jan’23. Tender Feet Academy children participated and danced on the stage to encourage all the runners in the 5KM -FUN RUN Category. The runners were not only encouraged but also danced and did garba with our little children of Sr.KG. It was a fun filled sight for all the viewers, passerby and runners.

Junior KG children went to Kadam Plant Nursery. The objective of the activity was to reinforce the topic-plants and to inculcate the love and sensitivity towards environment and to relish the beauty of nature. Teachers showed different types of plants, explained the various parts of the plants and their uses. They were also shown different medicinal plants like Tulsi, Turmeric etc. The children had a wonderful learning experience and were excited to see such different species of plants. They were also told about the importance of plants in our lives and the importance to save and nurture trees. The trip was a great success and a memorable experience for the little ones.
The objective of this event was to encourage children to improve their calligraphy skills. Handwriting is an essential skill for children and an incredibly important exercise to encourage them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency. Senior KG children had their preliminary round for the handwriting event in the month of December, wherein they wrote 3 letter words in cursive. For the Final Round five children were selected from each section and they wrote a short passage in cursive. The winners were selected for three positions and two consolations from each section.
Community Helpers are people in professions that directly impact the lives of others. They deliver a service that makes our lives easier. It is important for all of us to know the ways in which Community Helpers work. Many community helpers have work attire or clothes. In order to pay respect and to be familiar with different Community Helpers around us, TFA organized showcasing of Community Helpers through role play, songs, and dance. Children dressed up as teacher, doctor, mechanic, farmer, chef, lawyer, etc.
Christmas is a Time for Giving, Sharing and Peace. It is Celebrated everywhere as a joyous family affair, TFA too, celebrated Christmas as a happy time for our children. Our Teachers enacted on the story- “The Birth of Lord Jesus”. Santa’ entry in the school assembly packed with the children brought smiles on their face. Children made Santa face mask and Christmas tree. Few children shared about the festival.
IDS have a benchmark that recognizes schools for their exemplary work in bridging cultures and bringing an international dimension in the curriculum. As you all know, we are proud to announce that TFA has received the British Council International Schools Award certification for a 3 year period – 2021-2023.
TFA pre-primary curriculum has crossed borders and engaged children in international level learning through British council IDS project.
Senior KG A to D children explored the Endangered Animals of 5 countries including our home country. Senior KG- E, F and G children explored the seasons of three different countries from June to September including our country India. Parents were invited as a part of the culmination. Apart from acquiring knowledge, children showcased their knowledge and learning through dance, ramp walk, song, story, information sharing, Show n’ Tell, poster making, cooking experience etc.
